School Planning Survey 2025
Each year, we ask families to share their perspectives on our SVS School Engagement. This feedback helps us plan and make decisions for the following school year. Please click on this link to share your feedback. This survey closes on March 31, 2025. We greatly appreciate this information.
Student Conferences Update (Virtual Only)
Unfortunately, we needed to shift our format from student-led to virtual conferences on March 20 (5-8 pm) and 21 (8:30am -1:00pm). Sign-up for online school conferences will be available on March 13 at 4pm. Please refer to your MyCBE account to select your student’s conference date and time.
School Council Meeting
Thank you to our wonderful council for supporting the funding needs in our math, science and STEAM endeavors with our recent approvals of the LEGO® Education BricQ Motion kits. A lot of our STEAM laboratory items were quite old and dated. Thank you to Mrs. Eliopoulos for taking the lead to identify a new and engaging way to approach our new curriculum for all grades (K-6) with a specific focus upon critical and creative thinking training. The summary of the purchase is below:
LEGO® Education BricQ Motion Essential/ Prime engages students in STEAM learning as they experiment with forces, motion and interactions in the context of sports. BricQ Motion provides easy, hands-on learning experiences that spark cool "aha" moments, as students set LEGO® bricks in motion without the need for technology.
Scholastic Book Fair Update
Given we will not be able to have our annual book fair in the same way as previous years (due to online school conferences), we decided to still include it during students’ regular library time from March 18-20. Learn more!
Stay warm,
Chris Hooper EdD
