Good morning Simons Valley families
As we approach the final month of the school year, we have many exciting events and important reminders to share with you. First, a big thank you to Ms. Garner and her students for the wonderful performances displayed at our volunteer tea on Friday. We were so pleased to have so many parents join us, so we can celebrate our fantastic community. We would not be able to do all the incredible things we do without the volunteers we have at SVS...it is incredible and our entire staff is very thankful.

National Indigenous History Month – June
Each June, Canadians recognize National Indigenous History Month, with National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrated on June 21. This is a meaningful opportunity for our school community to honour the diverse histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples.

Kids Cancer Fundraiser – Thank You!
We are thrilled to share that our school raised an incredible $8,814.85 in support of childhood cancer research.
Way to go, SVS! Your generosity and community spirit are deeply appreciated.
Lunches and Snacks Reminder
With the warmer weather and increased outdoor activity, many students may need additional food or snacks during the day. Please check in with your child to ensure they have enough packed in their lunch. While we do keep a small supply of extra snacks, these are limited and meant for emergency needs only.
Casino Volunteers Needed – November 15 & 16
We’re excited to announce that Simons Valley School has been awarded another fundraising casino, which plays a huge role in supporting student programs and enrichment activities.
This year’s event will be held at Ace Casino Airport, and we are looking for volunteers to fill various roles.
No police clearance is required, and volunteers must be 18 years or older. Friends, family, and neighbours are welcome too!
