Good evening families of Simons Valley School,
It is the season for giving thanks and being thankful for being a part of this wonderful community at Simons Valley School. This week has been quite cold, so students and teachers were very happy to see the weather improve for our last day.
Thank you to all our families and community members for helping make Simon’s Valley School a wonderful place for students. We are very proud of our school community, and it takes many different working parts to help make it operate so well. Thanks to our students, facility operators, EAs, teachers, School Council, families, the Sandstone and MacEwen communities, and our neighbours for their care, flexibility, and kindness.
Remember to get outside and play and also take some time for reading a good book.

Kindergarten 2025/2026 Registration
2025-2026 Registration begins Monday January 13. All students new to the CBE should register online https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/new-students.aspx
All students transferring to another CBE school should fill out a Transfer Form https://cbe.ab.ca/FormsManuals/Transfer-Request-K-9-Schools.pdf
If your child will not be returning to SVS please let the office know.

Volunteering and Police Information Check (PIC)
To volunteer at SVS you need to fill out the Annual Volunteer Form on your My CBE account, under “Online Forms and School Registration”. You will also need a Valid Police Clearance that can be obtained at no cost, just upload your driver's license on the Annual Volunteer Form to get the process started. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the office.
2025-2026 School Calendar
